OpenTTD is an open source simulation game based upon the popular Microprose game "Transport Tycoon Deluxe", written by Chris Sawyer. It attempts to mimic the original game as closely as possible while extending it with new features.
The game revolves around running a trade company that transfers goods from one place to another, that being people, mail, wood, oil, goods, grain, livestock or something completely different. You have ships, trains, airplanes and road vehicles at you disposal. Now “all” you have to do is build a network of trade routes and stations that will make you that big payday that you have been waiting for.
