Despite having a cancelled re-release following the underwhelming re-releases of Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp returned to Home Video and closed out Walt Disney Home Video's most successful year ever, with sales totaling nearly 130,000,000 copies for all released titles (almost 77,000,000 of these being attributed to the Walt Disney Classics Collection titles) Lady and the Tramp sold almost 7,000,000 copies in the Holiday Season of 1995 before joining The Lion King and Peter Pan back inside the vault in the Spring of 1996.
