The Sword in the Stone was the next title introduced into the Walt Disney Classics lineup. It was not a top seller, selling somewhere between 97,000 and 124,000 copies in its initial release before Disney elected to add the film into its perennial lineup of films. It was through it's perennial re-releases that the film managed to finally climb into the million copies sold after 1991.
