OpenRails - London & South East Ramsgate Rambler Activity (MSTS)
Welcome to the next chapter in our look back at retro Train Simulators. In this video we explore the Making Tracks London & South East Route Addon for Microsoft Train Simulator which is played in OpenRails. This addon was produced in 2004 by Making Tracks and depicts the Southern Region Slam Door Era of the 1970s travelling from London to just outside of Tonbridge.
In this activity we take control of a Class 201 DEMU in BR Blue livery on the Ramsgate Rambler Railtour starting at Selhurst Depot running ECS to Charing Cross to pick up our first set of passengers for the tour, we then make our way over to London Bridge and reverse out towards Ramsgate via Tonbridge.
With MSTS no longer being playable on windows, anyone wanting to play this old retro simulator shall have to download OpenRails which is basically a remastered/revisited version of this classic game making it compatible to run on modern day computers. It can be downloaded from the link below, it is recommended to have a copy of Microsoft Train Simulator installed to your computer for this game.
