Description below.
Chaos and confusion. Remember that quote from the trailers?
If I have one regret about AC7 videos, is not making a dead-on prediction almost two years in advance. I knew as early as the 2017 E3 trailer that this would happen: a Kessler syndrome event. A globe presumably showing a satellite destruction chain reaction while the good doctor says "all that remained was chaos and confusion"? Having some interest in astronomy, but more importantly, having *Gravity* as my favorite film of all time, it was a dead giveaway this would happen. The fact I never got around to making a video about it is mildly infuriating - and if you'll allow me the confession, if nothing else, it's symptomatic of other issues in my life. But that's behind us now, and I'm thinking about analyzing how accurately AC7 portrayed such an even - instead of a prediction, a review.
As for the mission itself, it's... bold. It introduces a new and highly disruptive IFF mechanic, with everyone firing at you prior to identification, and pairs this with the ever so popular and fragile escort mission archetype. The result it certainly more interesting for its novelty than execution, but it's not *terrible*. It sadly has plenty of dead time, and the novelty runs out as you memorize the enemies, but it's passable nonetheless - missions 9 and 10 are certainly more grating.
A side note for the scenery. An urban metropolis at night can always be beautiful, but it doesn't always show well on video - x/H264 notoriously struggle with dark scenery. Not quite Emancipation levels, and I did pump up the brightness a bit, but yeah.
