6Welcome to the finale of Steins Gate, a Visual Novel within the Science Adventure's series of Visual Novels. Released originally in 2009, remastered on Steam for release in September 2016.
We follow along the story of a mad scientist named Rintarō Okabe (nickname Hōōin Kyōma) and his long time friend Mayuri Shiina. Failing to save Makise Kurisu from her inevitable death, Rintarō mourns about the numerous number of times he failed to save a life, although his genius even influences the events of a future that an equal genius of himself contacts him from a war torn world, the same world that Beta worldline Suzuha Amane.
Through Operations Skuld, we embark on the final challenge to save both Makise and the future from destruction, a place in the known universe that Suzuha calls...Steins Gate, a name that Rintarō made up, but his future self calls it a place free from war, a place just above the 1% divergence figure.
