Orange naped snakes ( very similar to Red naped ) are mostly nocturnal, also known as the "Moon snake", seems to get as large as 600mm long that I've seen here; they don't pose a risk to humans, they're quite shy and extremely reluctant to strike.

Best thing to do when you see one of these is just let it go about its business, in fact, that's the best advice for any snake.
