Enjo added a new Auto-Center feature to TransX that will automatically orient your vessel to the proper alignment for burning a maneuver. The best part of this new feature is that it keeps the vessel properly aligned throughout the entire burn which should greatly improve the accuracy of the burns. This isn't a matter of being lazy, it's a matter of being a better Orbinaut through improved accuracy! I love the new feature.

The only thing I would say is that you want to burn the last ~2-3 m/s manually. Do the main part of the burn with Auto-Center turned on, but when you get down to the very end of the burn, turn Auto-Center off, turn "Manoeuvre Mode" off, and then use translation thrusters to fine tune the last few meters per second by hand.

This is not a tutorial. This is just me working with Orbiter and thinking out loud while doing it. If you're watching with the intent of learning something, then hopefully you can pick up some tips by watching me.

Common questions I get: What screen recording software do you use? What joystick do you use? What add-ons do you use? Where can I find the XR2 Ravenstar? Where do I download Orbiter? And much, much more. It's all answered in the FAQ I set up at this link (the link is a google document):
