This model flicks well vertically... bonus points for being able to catch it by the handle. The sword in the intro I folded from a 24-inch square of foil paper whose white side was painted black. For the tutorial I used a 12-inch square of origami paper. To make a large sword that is sturdy, I recommend using heavy duty paper (maybe even cardstock).
