Orion EFT-1 Launch from the Kennedy Space Center

On holiday in the USA, I got to watch the Orion Exploration Flight Test 1 (EFT-1) launching atop a Delta IV heavy rocket. We were there when the original launch was scrubbed, but came back the following day to see the successful launch.
We were viewing from the Saturn V museum at the Kennedy Space Center (formerly used for viewing Space Shuttle Launches) which was around 8 miles away from the launch site. At this distance, the sound takes a long time to reach you, and the rocket is almost out of sight in the low cloud cover by the time we can actually hear it. Hibblejaybob
