Orion, Flower Platform and Diagrams: How to Build Enterprise HTML5 Apps in Minutes. And Then Maintain Them

Writing code for modern (enterprise) HTML5 apps is not an easy task.

Existing mature and high quality libraries help to properly structure the source code and to get things done faster. But nevertheless, complexity still exists and it needs to be properly addressed, whether working in a small or large team. And the customer demands and continuous evolution of the app don't make things easier!

This session presents a case study:

we make use of Orion integrated with the open-source diagramming tool (Flower Platform)
to build a server (Node.js)
and a client (RequireJS , Backbone.js).
And then we address the challenge of maintaining the app as it grows (working and modifying source code and diagrams).
This session shows other results of the integration between Orion and Flower Platform, enriching Orion with features like: collaboration on files in real-time, creation and collaboration on diagrams, generation and reverse engineering HTML5 (JS + HTML) code from diagrams.
