Fantasy Ground Unity has many rule systems, in this video I am talking about specifically the Old School Renaissance or (OSE) rule system which is still part of the Forge and development. In OSE it is typical that characters start out at first level rolling their dice, they do not get max HP like later editions. However, DMs often allow them to re roll 1s and in some cases 2s. Even the game creature Gary Gygax is said to follow this rule as it as no fun to play a character that would die automatically so the only option had was to run for at least one level of your character's life.
