OSSC was set to transcode mode here, it didn't actually do any deinterlacing since vp30 does a much better job with 480i anyway.

Now I was actually testing to see whether OSSC will suffer the same issue many transcoders have with PS2 footage and it kinda does and it kinda doesn't and I dont know why/how.
Basically when you connect PS2 to an Elgato it will give slightly distorted picture, that happens on OSSC on certain settings as well, anything other than you need to activate low pass filter to SD setting to avoid it.

For me it didn't entirely get rid of that effect it still remained quite strong in the cutscenes when I was playing; however when I got to editing it it was completely gone from the actual footage. I really don't know what to make of it.

I havent checked how this behaves with transcoding interlaced feed directly to Elgato(it would require me to flip my whole set up upside down for the sake of testing something I'm never gonna do ever again so that means I'll do it tomorrow). If it did in fact get rid of the weird distortion in PS2 interlaced signals than it would be one more reason to recommend it.
