This was captured by directly plugging the OSSC into the Elgato and setting it to bob (2x scale for 480i and 576i).

Initially I was going to show off how OSSC cooperates with OSSC as a transcoder but the short answer is it doesn't, all you get is left half of the screen stretched across the whole rest of the feed.

With this video I tried to change as little as possible tho I HAD to apply the mask (motion blur in every other frame) cause bob deinterlacing looks really random on youtube and it looks especially bad when you're doing it in 50 frames (it just doesnt match with refresh rate of monitors).
With other videos of this sort I will provide both variants but for PAL it just isnt worth it, the unfiltered version will just look bad.

Now onto results, it looks allot like what you'd get from a CRT or DVDO's game mode 1 except without the aggressive interpolation which for most games (that needed GM1 treatment) is a massive improvement.
I wouldn't really recommend this with games that use full frames and run at 25 or 30 frames (like this one or most of later PS2 games and everything on GC), simply because most TV's are in fact properly equipped to handle them correctly as tho they were DVD movies which gives pretty nice sharp image (or in my case DVDO's GM2). Unless input delay is of concern to you in which case OSSC cant be beaten as it has no input delay (on its own).

I played around with the low pass filter settings ans well as the analogue sync but I couldn't get anything better with this game.

Not to mention most games with similar rendering method as this one generally can be forced to 480p if you're into modding stuff which gives much better results than this.

For anyone curious, this is the remake of Harry Potter 1 on the PS2, and I played it in dutch because I have a choice of way too many languages (besides the dutch dubbing is actually really good).
