PM Modi, during his address in Mehsana, Gujarat, also spoke about the importance of animal husbandry. He said that only a farmer associated with the diary sector understands the importance of animals and the central government is spending more than Rs 15,000 crore on their protection and vaccination. PM Modi further said that in order to ensure income for farmers from milk and as well as cow dung, plants are being established under the GOBARdhan scheme to help villages convert their waste into wealth.
