2021-10-05. Out Run Arcade CannonBall, continuous mode = all 15 stages in a row consecutively. 2 crashes, both from anticipating turn on blind crest: 7:37 and 10:57. Crazy traffic jam: 9:24.

Thoughts / Notes:

1. It does not include the S-curves between each stage, so the timer for each stage complete advances ~10+ second more than it really should. This eventually reaches 99 seconds, which is the max. Since the game complete bonus is 1,000,000 pts per second on the clock, the only stage time that matters is the last one (though, going faster does give you more gameplay time pts). This makes the final time bonus meaningless, and the score with it. All that matter is the total time.

2. The number of lanes between stages is not always set correctly at stage end. It should be set to 6 as is usual when the two 3-lane roads merge. Thus some stages start with the wrong number of lanes. E.g. 9:42 Autobahn stage should start with 6 lanes, with some easy turns, then splits into two 3-lane roads during the stage. But this does not happen. The split is awkward at 9:59 where a 3-lane road attempts to split into two 3-lane roads. Eventually, the road unravels within each stage and becomes correct, but this cannot be used to practice each stage unfortunately.

3. The stages in the later part of the original game are easier in this mode, since the traffic does not increase. CannonBall engine allows you to set the traffic level from 1..8 for all stages, but in the real game, the traffic difficult setting of 4 levels will vary the traffic level between 2..8; lower for first stages, and incrementally higher as you get further in the game. Therefore the level design, with few cars, is easier to get through.

4. The radio station changes throughout the game, instead of playing the repeat loop at the end of each song, which would likely get boring. Since a single song lasts for 5 stages, and there are 3 songs to pick from, and 15 stages in total, it works out perfectly (well, not really, since you finish much faster without the S-curves).
