(OUTDATED & NO LONGER VALID) [World of Warcraft] Heal Heroics with the UI turned off (HOW TO)
My NO UI play-style (not for serious runs) on my Discipline Priest. I've successfully solo-healed 4 MoP Heroics in alt+Z mode for Mists of Pandaria thus far and in this video I explain how it's done. Turning off the user interface makes the overall game look a lot better and aside from the popup damage and snare tags, creates a more cinematic feeling overall.
If you are planning on making cinematic looking videos, my suggestion is to get a key-binding program and alias a key close to where your hands rest, Mouse Button 5 in my case, to ALT+Z I accidentally hit it twice during the Gu Cloudstrike fight, which is why the UI toggles for an instant. Basicly, have the button on hand in case you see a party member acting like a retard and standing in things, so you can get out the big guns and quick target flash heals onto them.
------------------
But enough of that, the only reason you are really reading this is for the macros:
These two macros will cause your attacks to work when targeting an enemy, an ally, your healbot target, or vuhdo target. If used on any target other than an ally they will default to your target's target. This allows Atonement Healing to function properly even with the ALT+Z No UI mode is toggled
Holy Fire/Power Word Serenity (Will work for either one no changes required)
#showtooltip
/cast [@hbtargettarget,harm][@vuhdotarget,harm][@target,harm][harm][@targettarget,harm][@target] Holy Fire
Smite
#showtooltip
/cast [@hbtargettarget,harm][@vuhdotarget,harm][@target,harm][harm][@targettarget,harm][@target] Smite
Do NOT attempt this with retarded party members or an under-geared tank. When people stand in things they'll take too much damage and die. When the tank is undergeared he or she takes too much damage and dies. Either way this play style is only for messing around or making WoW videos and serves no purpose in 'high-end raids'.
Although I play Alliance on Kalecgos(US), I also have Horde on Illidian(US) and am usually up for PvP on my Death Knight or Disc Priest. If you have any interest in playing you can catch me on steam, check my channel for links.
