[OUTDATED] How To Make the Playsound Command Work With @a - Bug in Minecraft 1.6.1

The new /playsound command often fails to work, when you use @a. It works in singleplayer and even in multiplayer, when there's a single player online. But as soon as there are several players, it doesn't work.
I found a way around that and I show it in this video.
UPDATE:
Dinnerbone fixed the bug and you don't need to use this concept any more. Just use @a as shown at the beginning of the video.
