Patch #8 -- V0.8 b94 -- has been publicly released! Bit late on this one due to some much-needed vacation. Pretty significant rebalance is a step in the right direction here, but practical hitscans (Reavers/Guards especially, along with Ogres and Hydras) still need a bit of work. Robot variations have been added and while generally insubstantial and not present here, can add some very interesting tactical changes into the mix. Phantoms -- also not present here -- are quite a challenge and on darker maps will definitely require good weapon leading and flare/headlight usage. The new map, Backfire, definitely feels a lot like a Descent level did and should, and its small size is going to be a major challenge. A ton to like here, as always. Major hype as release gets closer and closer!!
