Overwatch - Coping With Fall
244Alt Title: How not to get baited, and hype yourself to sadness
In this video, I become known as anti-hype incarnate. I'm excited for beta (I mean, the amount of people who can gain on it more than I can is... pretty small), but now we've waded into Fall I've seen various community websites (r/Overwatch being the most notorious for it) getting sucked into various unofficial 'announcements', most of which are innocent, some which I'd call downright malicious.
At the end of the day, the most important message is that - especially if you're subbed to this channel, or similar - you will not miss the start date of beta. It won't suddenly pop up out of nowhere and you'd have missed it. In which case, overdosing on hype due to dubious announcements seems... really foolish to me. The hype-train has no brakes - but there's no excuse to run it off the rails.
It's fun to speculate, but I've seen people get legitimately upset when they learn the random streamer they heard say it was on X date doesn't actually know.
More normal OW content soon, time to indulge in it during Fall. We'll skip Torbjorn analysis as... well, he gets a turret in a good spot, his team plays well, and they win.
