Overwatch: Origins Edition Competetive Play High Silver with D.Va and Orisa (2019/04/25)
0Well, in retrospect I am not that happy with that match.
I thought we played good but somehow I see that a lot of my teammates weren't with me or around me but either behind the enemy lines or some far to the side. Another thing is that we didn't have a real answer to that enemy Phara. I played D.Va during the attack but I was Orisa while on defence. So, during defence there was no real answer to the enemy Phara... I handled Phare at times but I can not only eat her rockets all the time. While boosting I can hit her and IF I am lucky she blows herself up or I hit her a lot during flight time. But normally any D.Va just flies though her because we can't hover or stop in midair. The real answer to a Phara would be someting with hitscan. Yes, D.Va's weapon is also a hitscan weapon at short to middle range but NOT the missiles (they have travel time, that goes for the projectiles of Orisa's weapon as well). Therefore we needed some other hero like Widomaker e.g. ... Well, no one was in chat (me neither but yeah, and no one is ever in there, one other thing: I didn't know that McCree has a hitscan weapon but possibly he didn't attack that phara because I didn't saw that Phara fall from the sky because of him). So I couldn't tell them to choose somone with hitscan weapons. I wouldn't have switch because I was the shield tank and I think I did as good as possible . I was very happy with that enemy Reinhardt that flew over the bridge due to my graviton charge (as Orisa). In the last few days I found out some new thing about my characters (Mercy, Lucio, Orisa) that I didn't use correctly or couldn't use because I didn't know how (Mercy's superjump, wallriding Lucio, you can "halt" the traveling graviton charge at). At the end I tried something totally NEW for me. I took the short cut to attack the enemies from behind. Obviously that didn't work out that well.
If you've watched it, what do you think. Am I a generall silver/ex-gold player or could I be higher?
