Overwatch: PS4 Gameplay #1 (QP - Sacrificing Controls for Visuals)
So here it is, my very first gameplay video of this PS4 version of Overwatch. Since I've been playing the PC version since its release, translating into a console should be a breeze even with all of the options I've noticed are missing.
The most obvious is that I hard-lock myself out from using a Mouse+Keyboard, but this isn't really a problem to me unless I change my mind later, because I don't use that combo, anyway. What I did notice in the PS4 version is that there's an exclusive option called "Aim Assist", and while doing an AI match, this seem to try to keep my aim on a target while I was strafing close to them. I decided to turn this off because I wanted to aim by myself, but this doesn't mean that others won't, which is probably why I get wrecked so fast in some of these matches.
You may not see it, but compared to the laptop I played the PC version on, it seems that the console version of Overwatch can run at a full 60 frames-per-second, while my laptop has sometimes had trouble running at a steady 30 fps.
Regardless, even though I want to start making PS4 videos of the game, my PC version will still be my primary platform since I've already put in a lot of work and time into that version for months, including having some seasonal skins and emotes in it that I can't get on my PS4 right now.
--------------
The real major difference you should see between my PC and PS4 videos is that my PS4 videos will be much better looking, with better detailing and lighting and less choppy frames. Gameplay sessions of both versions, along with any Highlight videos I make from them, will be put into their own playlists, but will nonetheless contribute to the grand total of all of the Overwatch videos that I've created and uploaded to my channel, and I already made over 100!
So, like the start of my PC sessions, I will mostly be using Mei for now, though I will switch her out for other characters that I've been fond of using on PC over time, too. Since events are aligned across all platforms outside of the PC's PTR, this video was recorded during Overwatch's Christmas-themed Winter Wonderland event.
