One of the things that this game has done better than Crash Bandicoot: Warped is that it lets Crash use his Death Tornado Spin while he's scuba-diving. This moves him through water a lot faster than his normal swim-kick, making it an asset for Time Trials.

But then that gets thrown away when he uses his Yellow Submarine. Then you just have to keep torpedoing and bombing your way through the rest of this level.

Also, one thing this game has above Warped, is that you can get the 3-Mask Invincibility underwater, now!
