OW Sound Design - Widow Lines The Shot
4A short sequence taken out of the Overwatch "Alive" cinematic short that I thought I could do some analysis and practice on. Some of the sections I try to use as much synthesis as possible like tracer's gun but others I try weaving together samples from libraries to see what I get.
In general I tried to focus more on widow's sound and from what I gather in the short she has this kind of subtle elegance and calculated efficiency in movement and action. While I was trying to reference as much as the original as possible my mind does wander so I tried to push the sound to be a bit more sinister and unnerving.
I'm finding out more and more that just use whatever you can to get the sound and understand why the sound works. There are quite a few holes I didn't address but I'm also trying not to hol' up everything I work on for months on end. I was thinking this would also be nice to work on a few months from now and see what updates I'd make and why.
