The Mercury Viper is really geared towards the next Mac Pro which presumably will have 6 Gb/sec SATA. The Viper delivers 600 MB/sec speeds in a larger 3.5-inch form-factor. The larger form means more available storage, which is up to 2 TB.

Also shown off is the Accelsior Pro PCIe SSD solution.

We expect to hear more about the Viper in about a month, including shipping date and availability.
