In this lecture we discussed the oxygen hemoglobin dissociation curve which is a sigmoid curve and relates the partial pressure of oxygen along with percentile of saturated hemoglobin. We discussed that how we can draw oxygen hemoglobin dissociation curve and what is p50 value. The concept of sigmoid curve or S shaped curve behind dissociation curve is also elaborated and we came to know that why oxygen hemoglobin dissociation curve is sigmoid .
How partial pressure relates with hemoglobin and what is T state hemoglobin and R state hemoglobin is also related.
