In this episode I finally get some natural gas power set up. I messed things up quite a few times but mostly left that out of the video. The natural gas generator leaks polluted water so you need to build it on mesh tiles or have a drainage system. It also outputs carbon dioxide which needs to be pumped somewhere with low pressure. It also needs a clean supply of natural gas. So I set up a gas pump in the closed geyser room and filter out natural gas with a gas filter to go directly to the generator. Then you need some initial power to power up the gas pump and filter. I made a manual generator and battery for that initial power up phase. Once it's running it should continue forever if the carbon dioxide output is not too over pressurized. You can run 3 natural gas generators off one geyser from what I have read/seen. In this video I just have 1 but next video I hook up a second. I run heavy watt wire to a transformer for stepping down the power from 20kw to 1kw for use in the base. Later on I will build a bunch of transformers for different sets of machines.

Lessons learned, you need to deal with the polluted water. I later built fertilizer makers to use that water and produce fertilizer. You also need to deal with the carbon dioxide. For now I'm pumping it to a room with an air scrubber and later to my grow room. You'll need a supply of clean water for that air scrubber.

I also found a giant natural v-shaped abyssalite formation I used to store my polluted water in. There were many small pools of polluted water above it so I will drain those in eventually. If the dupes ever want to go swimming in some nasty water...they now have a place!

I carved out a tunnel to the cold biome for an eventual sleet wheat growing room.

Next episode I plan to build a sleet wheat farm and try to build a water cooler for the hot geyser water.
