In this series I will be playing some well known and less well known games all the way from yesteryear through to the present, sometimes from consoles and sometimes from the thousands of PC games available either through websites such as Steam, Good Old Games (GOG), as abandonware, (Home of the Underdogs) or through emulation software. (Such as WinVice C64)
In this episode we are serving up some Mexican treats in the post apocalyptic wasteland to fuel our trip to Canada in Gunman Taco Truck by Romero Games! The premise is simple; pick up some simple ingredients from the many scattered shops around America, kill lots of mutants in between towns to cover the meat in the tacos and profit! Well, that's the plan anyway... in reality Gunman Taco Truck is a rock solid roguelike where the roll of the dice by the RNG gods is just as important as having a solid aim and a good memory for the recipes! You'll be serving mutant catfish, ants, even mutant people! So roll on up, put your order in and lets hope we can at least get close to Canada in my YOLO playthrough of Gunman Taco Truck!!
And so we move on to part 3 and all seems to be going well! Yes, the game is throwing more enemies, (which means more recipes to learn) but all seems to be going alright. We also manage to do the odd taco truck upgrade here and there!

Gunman Taco Truck is an action-packed drive across the post-apocalypse United States to reach the safe haven of Winnipeg, Canada, where there are no taco trucks and your family’s taco business can thrive. Getting to the safe towns is hectic but your truck is armed with weapons that blast mutants into taco fillings. In the towns you serve up the mutant scraps to struggling survivors who are more picky than they should be. Use money earned and scrap metal found to upgrade your truck and buy gas and supplies for the trip to the next town.

Making tacos and enchiladas for the hungry survivors
Spending your money to buy condiments and gas to help you get to the next city
Spending your scrap to fix or upgrade your taco truck, or buy an even better taco truck
Dealing with picky apoco-survivors who want their tacos made perfectly
Blowing your last dollar, or piece of scrap, to win big at the slot machine
Gunman Taco Truck features a wide array of weaponry including an M-16, AK-47, RPG, Tommygun, Bazooka, Thompson, Shotgun, Uzi, Grenade Launcher, and Super Shotgun! These guns provide an increasing level of firepower to clear the road ahead. Keep upgrading to push further toward your goal.
What is your goal?
Your goal is Winnipeg, Canada, where there are no taco trucks and it's safe from the annihilation of the United States nuclear accident. You will keep your family business alive and show Winnipeg what REAL tacos are all about.
Controls
You need a mouse to aim the crosshairs at everything. The keyboard will help you change lanes and launch rockets during the highway scene. The game is mostly controlled with the mouse, however.

Gunman Taco Truck is a challenging mix of resource management, defense, shooting, cooking that tests the player’s memory.
The game was designed by Donovan Brathwaite-Romero and completed as a family project. Following a coding lesson, Donovan pitched the idea of the game to his parents, John and Brenda Romero, when he was nine. They liked the idea so much that decided to make its development a family project. Over two years and lots of fun have gone into making Gunman Taco Truck an unforgettable experience, and the realization of Donovan's dream of making a video game. Donovan has been learning how to code for the past 3 years.
