Mission 11 A - Stalingrad Ruins (Days 6-8)

I am breaking this map. My Southern push is proceeding faster then is necessary. I am eliminating the units attacking my center slowly but surely. I am even pushing North around some of the tougher held, non objective areas. Everywhere is a kill zone for my units to get maximum efficiency.

I solidify my 3 areas that need to be seized around the East and North. I defend the North West and abandon the central area around the airfield. I let them move in and now I need to fight desperately while still moving towards my other objectives. All around good crazy fighting and using their vision against them. Enjoy

So excited about this. This map has been a thorn in my side the 2 prior times I have played it. My first time was blind and on Manstein difficulty, my 2nd was on this super hard difficulty that I didn't understand the mechanics of the scenario. Now, this time, I have this map so figured out that I make it seem like a walk in the park.

Do not get me wrong, it still is difficult and do not rush any area of the map. Slowly methodically take apart parts of this map, to maximize kills and prestige, while minimizing losses. Do not take Victory hexes until the end, so the counter attack areas do not wake up. And hold certain areas with unassailable units. BOOM you win the map.


This is still a puzzle where each day is very important to pull off exactly for best results, so I try and save every single day so that if I make a mistake in layout based on enemy counterattack I can reload and try that day again with a different set up.

I am not expecting to do a map wipe, but I want that Decisive, so I will try.

Do not expect Decisive's, do not even expect all Marginal's, expect pain misery, and maybe even some savescumming, but at least it is an attempt to play the Ultimate difficulty on the Grand Campaign.

Field Marshall 50% Experience
Rommel 50% Prestige ai 150% Prestige
Guderian 5 less turns for each scenario
Manstein ai has 5 extra strength points
