New to the 2024 remake of the game is the opportunity to battle Prince Mush, Jolene's brother and the first champion of the Glitz Pit. To fight him, you must complete Jolene's Trouble Center request and then wait until you receive an email from Prince Mush challenging you to battle.

In the battle, Prince Mush uses alternating fighting stances that render him invincible against certain moves. His jumping stance will let him dodge ground-based moves, while his sidestepping stance will instead dodge aerial attacks. If at any point you Superguard against one of his moves, it will break his stance and force him to kneel, temporarily lowering his Defense to 0.

After he loses about half of his HP, he will power up and assume a stance that blocks all moves completely. At this point you must Superguard and break his stance or you will not be able to fight back. He will also charge up his attacks, causing his combos to inflict catastrophically high amounts of damage, and can drain FP with some of his attacks as well.
