Magnus Von Grapple. I had a terrible time defending against that stomp as you'll notice. I recommend you equip Multibounce for his rocket fists as I did otherwise carry some multi-attack items. As for your partner, you'll probably want Koops or Flurrie unless you've upgraded Goombella. I did not upgrade anyone yet so I used Koops because of his innate 1 defense.
