Here we are. The beginning of a nearly 5-hour journey through the Pit of 100 Trials. I'm sure some people are going to have some questions, so let's get some (likely) FAQs out of the way:

-- What is this run? -- Please see the playlist description for full restrictions and rules of this run. I'm essentially doing the hardest Pit of 100 Trials run currently known/attempted.

-- How are Goombella and Koops Super Rank? -- Using a glitch known as "Hazard Respawn Glitch", I am able to access the West Side of Rogueport early. This allows me to nab an extra Shine Sprite. I also jump onto the lock of the house on the east side of Rogueport to access the roof early and grab the Shine Sprite behind that building. This allowed me to rank up both Goombella and Koops. The reason for this is enemies have insanely high attack power in the 80's and 90's, and Koops having access to Shell Shield as well as an extra point of attack proved invaluable. Glitches are not banned from challenge runs as long as they fit the criteria of the run. This has been debated, but right now the challenge run community believes that having Koops at Super Rank is necessary for this run.

To add on, I was also able to nab Heart Finder thanks to the 6 extra Star Pieces you can find on the West Side of Rogueport (including sewers).

-- How many attempts? -- It says 1 on the screen, but I made it to Floor 83 during a practice run, so technically the total number of attempts was 3. This last attempt was the only attempt with the extra badge and Koops upgraded to Super Rank. The other two were performed under "normal" conditions as if the glitches hadn't been used (I didn't have Heart Finder or Koops upgraded).

-- Badge Setup? -- I wanted to be able to Multibonk Bonetail, so I chose Power Plus P over a myriad of other options to increase her attack power to 3; 1 above Bonetail's defense. This also gave Koops a total attack power of 4, being able to deal decent damage to most of the enemies and allowing him to attack Red Chomps. Heart Finder was invaluable in healing my partners and Mario. Sometimes it was the difference between having to Sweet Treat and being able to attack and have more breathing room.

-- How do you have so many Life Shrooms? -- To be honest, you can shop grind points to get as many Life Shrooms as you want. However, thanks to the Hazard Respawn Glitch, I didn't need to spend hours grinding that, and just bought them at the West Side Rogueport Shop.
