Papetura is a very interesting game made entirely out of well lit papersculptures. The atmosphere and backgrounds are breathtaking and the awesome soundtrack by Floex adds aa lot to it. Floex made the great soundtrack for machinarium and other amanita design games and Papetura plays a bit like Botanicula. The story is pretty simple, you are Pape, a piece of paper in a paper world and together with a cat like being you have to save the paper world from fire, fire that comes from a dark creature that just likes to see the world burn it seems.
Some of the puzzles are a bit weird and not really my kind, others are fun, but in a world made of paper you only have limited possibilities for puzzles. Some minigames are fun, like Tura, the cat, getting to the key, the fishing minigame is boring and slow, it is like real fishing, but not real fun, feel free to skip over that in the video. I'm a bit torn on animations, some animations are well done and fluid, others are just rotating still images, but the rest of the world is so great I just had to keep on playing...

Synopsis:
Papetura is a handcrafted puzzle adventure game made entirely out of paper.
Along with atmospheric music made by Floex, it creates a mysterious and unique paper world, shrouded in shadow and light.

The Story
Papetura tells a story about lonely paper creature Pape, trapped in a flowery prison. One day Pape escapes and finds little Tura, a magical being that he’ll take care of. Together they will have to face dark and flaming monsters which will try to burn down their beloved paper world.

The team consists of the creator Tomasz Ostafin (Petums), music artist Tomas Dvorak (Floex), and sound designer Juraj Mravec. The game was being made for many years, inspired by old classic games like The Neverhood, Machinarium, movies of studio Ghibli, and fascination with architecture and paper sculptures.
