I’m so very excited to finally upload this remix 😤 I’ve been working on it for a while now, just trying to perfectly capture what I imagined this song sounded like in my head. No joke, the second I heard “Paradise, Paradise” in game, my mind immediately started remixing it. So I knew that I had to act upon these thoughts 🫡 I tried my best to stay faithful, while also “unpixelating” it or reimagining if it werent chiptune.
Since I started remixing it when Deltarune came out, there were no midis of “Paradise, Paradise” yet, so I had to make a lot of this song by ear. Which is something I always find to be a fun challenge. It makes me a better artist and honestly it’s extremely helpful to be able to match the tones and notes by ear. It’s a skill that I find coming up every once in a while when I’m making music.
BUT ANYWAYS, I’m gonna try and keep this short, BUT, I was heavily inspired by 80s style music for this remix, as you can KIND OF tell. It ended up evolving a lot during the remixing process. The first demo sounds more 80s I’d say. I really enjoyed adding those synthy-bell sounds too. I feel like when they just sit in the background and play, it gives the song this certain atmosphere/vibe that I just can’t describe in any medium other than music. Overall, I absolutely dig the style this remix has and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
AS FOR THE ART THOUGH! I gotta give huge props to my homie, Maxonrelaxon… I was struggling with drawing the thumbnail, and he had the genius idea of doing pixel art to match the aesthetic. And man I haven’t tackled pixel art in like 7 years….. so this was a very interesting experiment for me. I honestly LOVED it. Pixel art looks so simple, yet it’s so very convoluted when you’re trying to get finer details in without cluttering your canvas too much. It made me realize with pixel art that less is truly more. Anyways! I guess I failed at keeping it short AGAIN but that’s all I wanted to say 🤭 I sincerely hope you guys enjoy this remix! No promises, but I definitely wanna do more Deltarune remixes. We shall see. BYE GUYS!!!!!
