Several attempts have been made to classify the elements according to their properties. The earliest attempt to classify elements resulted in grouping the known elements as metals and non-metals.
Later, many classifications were tried. Some scientists like Dobereiner, Newlands and Mendeleev choose atomic mass as a base for the classification of elements and proposed different laws. Out of which Mendeleevs law attract the people most.
On the basis of his law, when Mendeleevs arranged the known elements, he got a table which he called periodic table. Along with convenience study of elements, this table was also found helpful to predict the properties of elements not known at that time.
Name any one element which have property (atomic mass) similar to those predicted by Mendeleev.
