This is pre-alpha footage of ParaLLEl, a new RDP emulation plugin written as a Vulkan async compute shader. This allows for the pixel-level accuracy of software rendering but with the parallelism of modern GPUs.

Of particular note in this video: the N64's dithered alpha effect, which is used for the dust kicked up by the karts' tires when they go off-track, is tough to reproduce faithfully with HLE plugins, and the jumbotron that mirrors the player's screen on the side of the tunnel requires accurate frame buffer emulation.

The audio is obviously out of sync but it's fine in normal play.
