Paras carry out heavy weapons training with Javelin and GPMG
470Heavy weapons platoons from 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment have been honing their skills during their annual live-fire training cadres.
The airborne infanteers of the Machine Gun Platoon trained new soldiers on the 7.62mm General Purpose Machine Gun in the sustained fire role, as well as the L111A1 12.7mm (.50 cal) Heavy Machine Gun and 40mm Grenade Machine Gun.
Paras from the Anti Tank Platoon, meanwhile, carried out their training with the NLAW (Next-Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) and the Javelin.
