Ostia is a modded Fire Emblem Civilization that focuses on defense and city-state alliances. By placing their units around city-states, they will slowly gain influence with them, allowing you to get some quick early-game allies using your military strength. Additionally, all Ostian units starts with the Cover promotion which reduces damage taken from enemy ranged attacks, including city bombardments. This makes Hector great at slowly sieging enemies due to his unit’s great resilience. Fitting right into this theme are the Generals, Ostia’s unique unit. The General replaces the Knight, but instead of being mounted they are infantry units that require Iron instead of Horses. They do however have an insane Combat Strength of 25, which is even more than the Musketmen which they upgrade to, they also spawn Great Generals much faster. Ostia’s unique building is the Ostian Keep, a unique Castle replacement that grants more Defense and Hit Points for your city, but also grants extra Happiness, which really helps your empire out a lot. Despite their defensive-oriented bonuses, Ostia is definitely a civilization meant to be played aggressively by invading their neighbors with near impervious Generals, and then establishing an iron hold on their conquered territories via their strong defensive buildings.
