I am playing on patch v4.0.2. Crafting the Alabaster Box has been patched as of v4.0.3. You can still craft the other items to get this unlock.

NOTE: You must have Alabaster Box unlocked to be able to craft it. This requires beating The Lamb with Bethany.

NOTE 2: I only listed this as the "easiest" way because in my 50 or so hours of Repentance, I've never had 3 items needed to unlock a Planetarium. This was the easiest way for me by far.

Planetariums are unlocked by acquiring three different astrology-related items in a single run. These items include the Signs of the Zodiac, Magic 8 Ball, Crystal Ball, and Star of Bethlehem. The Crystal Ball will not count towards the unlock if it is left behind after picking it up. If you lose the passive items (ie: using the D4) they will not count towards the unlock. In other words, Isaac must have 3 items at the same time. Note that the item Zodiac does not count.

I’m using Tainted Cain because he can just craft whatever he wants.

Craft a few Alabaster Boxes early on for max consumables. Then craft Aquarius, Magic 8 Ball, and Aries. See below for the easiest combinations:

Alabaster Box: 1 Soul Heart // 7 Pennies
Aquarius: 3 Red Hearts // 2 Keys // 2 Bombs // 1 Penny
Magic 8 Ball: 3 Red Hearts // 4 Pennies // 1 Bomb
Aries: 3 Red Hearts // 3 Keys // 1 Penny // 1 Bomb
