Path of Exile - High Investment Mapping in Heist, Using Delirium Orbs to Farm Enchanted Helms
93This video outlines a mapping strategy aimed at farming tier 19 maps (T16 maps, with 3 tiers added by unique watchstones) to get a large number of enchanted helmets to drop.
Each map costs about 0.6 exalts to run. (I said 0.5 in the video, oops, forgot the Delirium Orbs, which I use two of per map at 4c each - as your character becomes more powerful, you can add more of these. Trading for lab enchant ones may get difficult if this strategy catches on; this strategy was devised when those were cheap.)
Consumables used:
Maps:
12x 20 quality tier 16 maps. I use Summit, this isn't necessarily the best choice, just an easy map to get 12 of. Use 12 from the same Atlas region.
I roll these by scouring, chiselling, then alch/scour until I hit at least 22% packsize. Finish map rolling with 2x Imperial Delirium Orb (more if your character is powerful enough; I don't recommend this strategy with only 1 orb)
Tier 16 is IMPORTANT as we are doing all these steps to make our Delirium enchanted item drops item level 86, allowing them to roll all mods, including some very powerful chase mods like the Redeemer "nearby enemies have -9% cold resistance". (A helmet with a cold-oriented enchant can permanently be made Redeemer influenced by a Redeemer Exalted Orb)
Sirus-exclusive Watchstones:
- 1 Misinformation per 12 maps
- 1 Booming Populace per 15 maps
- 1 Terror per 12 maps
- 1 Stalwart Defenders per 12 maps
- Enough Awakened Sextants to roll a good (not necessarily uber) sextant roll on each one, each 3 maps. In practice expect about 2 sextants per map.
- Total cost here - about 4ex per 12 maps, mostly Misinformation.
BUDGET ALTERNATIVE: Drop Misinformation, replace with Territories Unknown or a permanent Watchstone. BUDGET ALTERNATIVE COST: ~1.5ex per 12 maps. BUDGET DRAWBACK: Your helm drops will be ilvl 85, not 86. This removes some powerful mods from the drop pool.
Scarabs:
These are NOT chosen to be the most powerful scarabs possible, but instead as cheap scarabs that have some power.
- 1 Gilded Harbinger Scarab, Gilded Perandus Scarab, Gilded Shaper Scarab and Gilded Metamorph Scarab per map (9c per map)
