Path of Exile - Pre-Exilecon Brainstorming - Ideas For New Crafting Orbs
30The current suite of crafting orbs hasn't changed since 3.0.
Here I propose two new ones and a change to the humble Cartographer's Chisel.
Summary:
- Quality on maps adds XP instead of quantity, to address item bloat and to make mapping more competitive with Breachstones, Domain and even level 83 Safehouses
- Add a new incubator, that comes in three tiers (ilvl cap 67, 80 and 100). It functions like an exalt but with a long delay (thousands of kills for ilvl 67, tens of thousands for 100)
- Add an orb that "fully exalts out" an item (upgrading it to a 6 mod rare with all present mods intact) but also corrupts it
