Path of Exile Ranger Part 01 | Initial Impression from a Diablo IV player
On first load of the game, graphics is more or less on par with Diablo IV.
I am not so particular about graphics. π
What I didn't like is the inventory space. A piece of armour takes up a 2x3 space?
Trying to fit all the odd shaped gear I picked up feels like a jigsaw puzzle. I ended up with a lot of 1 or 2 squares of empty space. π€
The need for a Scroll of Wisdom to identify pieces of unidentified gear I picked up feels clunky. I still have a few unidentified gear at the end of this session. βΉ
Gold seems to be non-existent in this game. Selling a piece of normal gear only gives me 1 scroll fragment? It takes 5 scroll fragments to convert into 1 Scroll of Wisdom. One stack of scrolls takes up one unit of inventory space. π©
After killing a bunch of mobs, and not a single loot drop?
In terms of loot drop, it is relatively low compared to Diablo IV.
There is no quick way of getting back to town. Teleporting back will use up a Portal Scroll. Those are not very common. I tend to save up the few I found for emergencies. So trying to make a few Scrolls of Wisdom when you are far away from town is a time consuming affair. π
All these inconveniences make gameplay very slow and tedious. π₯±
