GGG just released a Path of Exile skill development blog for the upcoming skill Vigilant Strike and it's associated buff Fortify. These additions will be coming in the Act 4 expansion to the game and look to do a lot for improving the defensive capabilities of Melee builds. It's no magic bullet but this will go a long way to evening the playing field. The post also contained a teaser about a potential alternative Unique for Facebreaker Unarmed builds too!
