Payday 2 - The Alesso Heist (Overkill) - Failure
2Admittedly, it was a REALLY CLOSE failure... Didn't want to get your hopes up for those sweet wads and a not-Mann Co. Safe at the end.
So me and Badger have been trying to get back into this game after a year of not playing it. Naturally, the first thing we go for is Alesso, and Badger ups the ante with Overkill. And we've been bashing ourselves against this brick wall as quietly as possible... Each time, getting smarter(-ish) and better(-ish).
This is the furthest we had ever gotten. Every time (including tonight), we were thwarted by a thing we couldn't predict. Normally, an eccentricity in Overbreeze's dumbf**k AI. Often, a mistake or overstep on our part. But mostly, the AI doing something stupid and unrealistic.
We almost got this one. Then a guard who didn't once go to a particular place for as long as the game had been running up to that point decided to go to a particular place at that point. We were pretty heartbroken.
With more manpower, and armed with the knowledge gained here, we're resolved to try again soon...
