Snatcher is a visual novel/adventure game that was developed and published by Konami in 1992 (PC Engine) exclusively for the Japanese market.

The scenario ~and whole atmosphere~ is heavily inspired form the Blade Runner film. The game is set in a future metropolis where androids or so called Snatchers" have been discovered killing humans and replacing them in society. Gillian Seed is the main hero, an amnesiac who joins a Snatcher hunting agency hoping it will help him remember his past.

Some quick facts about this game :
- At the very beginning you can see the game's logo presented as "Snatcher CD-ROMantic".
- Many people consider this port as the best one because of the extra content ~in contrast to the old PC-88/MSX2 versions~ plus there is no censoring (unlike all the newer versions).
- The PC-Engine CD version was the first to introduce it to the home-console users.
- This port was the first time the development team worked with CD-ROM.
