PC-FX : Miraculum - The Last Revelation (JAP)
Miraculum - The Last Revelation (ミラークルム ザ・ラストレベレーション) is a turn based RPG that developed by Rayforce Inc. and published by NEC back in 1996, exclusively for the NEC PC-FX console system and the Japanese market.
In the world of Miraculum an ancient demon who had been sealed in a statue for centuries, managed to possess the body of a powerful king. The demon's goal is to destroy humanity as a revenge for his prisoning.
A warrior hero named Jay (main character) learned about it and now he is seeking for strong allies/companions to stop the evil demon's plans.
Miraculum's presentation resembles the 16bit era of RPGs but the 32bit processor and the CD-ROM drive of the PC-FX allows it to offers some high quality anime-style movie scenes and audio music. It also contains voice overs ~ for important conversations.
It's a traditional turn based RPG with random battle encounters. The setting is for the most part medieval fantasy, but there are sci-fi elements as well. The difficulty is not that high which makes it a easy to play RPG.
In general, Miraculum is a quite big and fun game to play, probably one of the best RPGs for the PC-FX system.
Almost all of the voice over dialogues have no subtitles. Which means it's not an import friendly game and if you want to enjoy it , you must be quite fluent in the Japanese language.
