0What is POOM? It's a demake/remake of the beloved Doom, made entirely in Lexaloffle Games' Pico-8, which is a sort of fantasy console with technical limitations. This game pushes these technical limitations to their limits with a very good, well polished remake of the most beloved FPS of the 90s.
It plays a really good game of Doom, too. Despite the obvious limitations, what we have is a FPS with pretty good level design that takes inspiration fron the original Doom. Pretty much all of the basic elements of the 1993 shooter are here.
