PDF Tutorial PNG Alternative! Mini Classics! Nintendo Power! Manuals! Atari 2600! Etc!
Many people have asked about running PDF Files on the Mini Classics. This is not possible due to licensing issues, for the moment. BUT, what you can do, is convert the PDFs into .png files! Then, simply copy them into a folder. And, when you go to load content, select the first one in the folder. Once loaded, simply tap right to view them chronologically by name and/or number. It is also helpful to go into RetroArch Settings, Video, Scaling, and change aspect ratio from "Core Provided" to 1:1, temporarily, for viewing of these PDF conversions, Magazines, Manuals, and so on!
Due to how memory allocation worked on the Minis, it wasn't exactly easily possible to pull it off as in how I showcase in this video, even as far as a half dozen releases back, as memory would typically run out...crashing after trying to view too many images! But, with memory exploits and tweaks, that have been implemented...slowly, but surely, over time...these are much more permissible.
Just think, lost in a game, such as Rygar, Zelda, etc...You can simply pull up a strategy guide, while on your Mini, peruse it, then reload back into that game (via save state) for best and quick results to get back in the forray of awesome action and adventure!
Hope you enjoyed this video!
P.S.: I also had another interesting idea. With my new job, my commute is almost an hour to and from work, each day! What if I started recording the drive to and from, and commented, as I drove, on the variety of crazy denizens that I come across on my drive! And, yes, I actually have to drive through a very sketchy spot that has been nicknamed "Dead Man's Curve" for obvious reasons...Many Many Many Many people have underestimated the inherent dangers of the curve, and lost control of their vehicles...You can see all the crash marks from hundreds upon hundreds of people and their misadventures!
Hell, just this winter alone, some of the shenanigans I ran into, coming across up to 2 dozen accidents per drive to and from! I have a system when I drive, that I try to stick to...it is my own form of defensive driving! Think I should start doing some videos like this? Let me know:)
