Most assists finish taunting and leave the screen before Peacock's throw animation ends, but you can keep them in by dropping a level 3 item on them. I caught someone with this today and realized I'd never uploaded it, so hopefully this is useful for someone! Midscreen, you can do it into an argus cannon DHC instead, which does huge damage to both characters if you have enough meter for level 3 cannon.
