Pepsiman is about as '90s as '90s ad campaigns get, and the first couple minutes of the Pepsiman theme song are hilariously repetitive and over-the-top. But just when you think the tune has nothing else to offer besides people yelling "PEPSIMAAAAN" over a surf beat at the top of their lungs, you get hit in the face with some absolutely killing sax and trumpet solos. Let's take a moment to appreciate these hidden gems of improvisation, and outline some ways that these masters structure their improvised lines.

Big thanks to my wife for recording the trumpet solo from 'So What', she did so well that the video still got copyright struck and I had to pitch it up a half step.
